Azusa Pacific Student Cameron Demetre Receives Fulbright Award

Azusa Pacific University graduate Cameron Demetre received a Fulbright Scholarship to teach or conduct research abroad for the 2013–14 year.

Demetre, a El Dorado Hills resident, graduated from APU in May 2013 with a B.A. in Global Studies. With the Fulbright award, Demetre will teach English in South Korea.

The Fulbright Program is an international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to "increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries." The Fulbright Program has provided more than 318,000 participants-chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential-with the opportunity to study, teach, and conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.
